The Pact
We present the Pact for Neurodiversity, a list of agreements elaborated by autistic people, with the support of researchers from University of Brasília, to promote inclusion in Brazil. Organizations that sign the Pact for Neurodiversity will commit to these agreements in all their actions. The public will know that such organizations respect neurodivergent people under the terms of the Pact for Neurodiversity.
The Pact for Neurodiversity

1. Listen
Listen to the neurodivergent persons, guarantee their freedom of expression and the respect for their opinions, regardless of the subject to be discussed or the form of communication used.

2. Respect
Strictly respect the protagonism, participation and opinion of neurodivergent persons when making decisions, developing theories and practices related to them. In other words, respect the precept “nothing about us without us”.

3. Verify
Verify if the information from studies and services aimed at neurodivergent people to confirm that they are true, ethical and consistent with the wishes and opinions of the target audience before accepting and sharing them.

4. Educate
Educate, dialogue and orient your community, in support of the activism for neurodiversity, especially when facing ableist situations.

5. Defend
Defend the Neurodiversity Movement.

6. Monitor
Monitor the fulfillment of the applicable laws about the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

7. Opportunize
Opportunize inclusion of neurodivergent people and create conditions for them to stay in your company/organization/community in all hierarchical levels and different functions.

8. Reflect
Reflect on your behaviors and speech, as well as how they affect the neurodivergent people. Be open for new social deconstructions and reconstructions.

9. Apply
Apply all the principles listed above when planning projects and interventions aimed at neurodivergent people

10. Celebrate
Celebrate Neurodiversity.
